Aetos ((ギリシア語:Αετός) meaning "eagle") is a village and a former municipality in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Trifylia, of which it is a municipal unit.〔(Kallikratis law ) Greece Ministry of Interior 〕 In 2001 its population was 595 for the village and 3,264 for the municipality.
